The issues arrive bimonthly, six times a year. There are a many different types of crafting projects inside these covers including crochet, knitting, garden crafts, seasonal items to make, sewing, painting, recipes, party ideas, outdoor decor, wreaths, papier-mâché, table settings, clothing, quilts, Plaques, and decorations. As well as Afghans, Christmas ornaments, pins to wear, seasonal banners, rugs, home décor, and many other projects to inspire and liven your life. Because subscribers submit all of the patterns and projects there are no annoying ads to sift through to find the projects like other magazines. The pages are full color and glossy. The material for the magazine is sturdy and the pages are heavy weight ideal for saving and using again and again as the season’s change. 

    Features in each issue: 
    A Few Lines from Craftleen- a brief article from the editor of the magazine, Kathleen “Craftleen” Anderson, about what is happening with the magazine, her thoughts and experiences crafting as well as an overview of what the issue contains. As well as website information and subscription options. 
    Traditionally Speaking- This section features letters for readers and pictures of their creations that were inspired by Crafting Traditions.
    Usually Seasonal Crafts come next in the magazine featuring Christmas in November/December issues, Halloween in the September/October issues, etc. Seasonal Recipes follow with meals and deserts coordinated for a particular holiday or event for each set of months. These articles and projects are sprinkled thought out the magazine.
    Outdoor Décor contains a project to make for the garden or out side of the house in September/October 2001 a Doggie Weather Station is featured. He is a cute brown spotted pup with a round thermometer on his tummy.
    ”kids korner” a place for younger crafters to send crafting ideas for other children to create.
    Craft Trends- keeps crafters informed of what is popular in the crafting industry at the time this is great for the crafter who makes crafts to sell.
    Crafting with taste-crafting treats to make in the kitchens that have themes for special events or holidays
    Crafters showcase-a special place to display crafts made by using the inspiration from Crafting Traditions Magazine.
